Misinformation, a pervasive global problem, fuels societal polarization by spreading false or incomplete narratives.
An active Hunome member created a foundational SparkMap titled 'Misinformation is rife.´ The SparkMap was dedicated to building an understanding of the causes and impacts of misinformation and disinformation—an understanding crucial for finding solutions to combat them.
Hunome organized the complexities of understanding misinformation by structuring the 'hows' and 'whys' so that individuals could start to see the underlying causes and mechanisms behind its prevalence.
The build became instrumental in the Mozilla Festival's annual event, serving as a platform for collective deliberation. It facilitated a session for MozFest attendees to collectively develop solutions to tackle online misinformation.
Hunome revolutionizes the settled habit of how people learn and participate in mass forums.
Hunome is a great tool also for conference events to engage participants and to keep the content and discussions alive even after the event.
