What is a Humanathon?
Humanathons are a movement to inspire and empower individuals and groups to build shared understanding and effect positive change. They provide participants with the opportunity to delve into themes that have been discussed at events and reported on, yet continue to challenge our comprehension.
"Humanathon" encapsulates the sustained human-aware collective effort required to address human welfare, social justice, technological, global governance, and environmental sustainability challenges.
By harnessing the collective intelligence and experiences of the community, we can develop a holistic understanding of these critical themes.

What's involved in a Humanathon?
Humanathons often begin as targeted online sessions to intitiate the deliberation process. These generate initial concepts and inquiries from individuals with a wide range of expertise and experiences in diverse contexts.
At the heart of a Humanathon is Hunome´s SparkMap, a fabric of thoughts embodying the many viewpoints on a specific theme. The SparkMap connects the dots between various sources, including personal experiences, research, intuitions and proposals from different fields of knowing.
The Sparkmap facilitates collective sensemaking. It helps people understand different aspects of the theme and encourages mutual understanding.
Every person in a Humanathon plays a crucial role in expressing their perspectives within the context of others' ideas and knowledge.

Your unique way of thinking about a problem matters. Your firsthand experiences form the bedrock of the collective thought-building process.
