Linards Kalvans. AI Regulations

Linards Kalvans

Linards Kalvans leads on the theme of AI Regulations

Humanothon is a human, world, change-aware ‘marathon’ – a thematic movement – for sense making and building shared understanding.

AI needs to be regulated, it may be misused and become dangerous as any other technology, it may cause confusion and misunderstanding if not properly explained and presented. However it is on such a rapid course of evolution as no other technology before. Despite already being used on wide range of ocassions from registering cars at parking lots to being appointed as some companies CEO, the regulations for AI vague at best.

With EU preparing the formal regulations and many of big tech companies boldly announce goodwill gestures on regulating AI applications and development, the common understanding of how and what should be regulated is still developing.

We are encouraging the field experts and enthusiasts to join the initial Humanothon session on the AI regulations, we will kick-off building a SparkMap of common understanding how we should regulate AI, to make regulations future proof for ever evolving technology and helpful to utilize the power of AI applications for common good while limiting abuses and harmful applications.

We will use Hunome an online product, allowing unlimited number of participants to explore the theme in unique and engaging way while building a common understanding.

Join Us in this collective inquiry that will be conducted with Hunome, an online product that allows participants from many disciplines to explore the theme in a unique and engaging way and build an understanding.

Date: 14st September

Time: 2 pm Helsinki | 1 pm Paris | 7 am NYC

Duration: 2 hours

About Hunome
Hunome is a new Social Network and a Collective Sensemaking online product – uniquely designed to build shared understanding. A SparkMap is a non-linear, evolving and multi-dimensional map of understanding on a theme. SparkMap is a great way to visualize the understanding that a group of people have on a particular theme.

About Humanothon
Humanothon is a movement or a set of thematic movements run on the Hunome product. You can take leadership on a theme that needs multidimensional understanding and that you want to build a concerted systematic mapping on, with a group. Hunome product is there to use and our team helps the leads set this up providing materials and other help.

You do not need to run a Humanothon to build multidimensional understanding on Hunome. You can also just start by clicking on ‘New SparkMap’ once inside Hunome and craft your own understanding and see others join.
