Decolonizing Futures: Perspectives from the Global South

This initiative seeks to explore decolonial futures thinking and practices through the lens of Global South communities, focusing on how indigenous knowledge systems, cultural worldviews, and historical legacies can reshape futures studies. By centering Global South voices, this project aims to map Global South perspectives in foresight and discuss participatory approaches and narrative-based futures that honor the unique temporalities, insights and contexts of the Global South. What is a Humanathon?

Humanathon is a program that runs on the Hunome product.
Humanathon is a program to move wicked themes forward in our societies. A Humanothon is a global human-aware ‘marathon’ as the wicked themes are ongoing and dynamic. It is designed to bring people from diverse backgrounds together to explore complex issues related to the human experience. You can take leadership on a theme that needs multidimensional understanding and that you want to build concerted systematic attention with a group. The Hunome product is there to use and our team helps the leads set this up with materials.

About Hunome
Hunome is uniquely designed to build shared understanding with collective sensemaking. The SparkMap is a non-linear, evolving, multi-dimensional, map of understanding on the theme. SparkMaps are a great way to visualize the understanding that a group of people have on a particular theme.
